Ha, omg your blogging is amazing, its like reading a diary of my holiday – for free! it made me laugh so much – in partic:
1. ‘No food in tents or sleeping bags’
2. ‘No imitating wolf or coyote noises’

Ha, ha, ha! Hope you’re well and not dwelling too much, but ‘reminiscing’ about the trip, & looking forward to being reunited with Kathy and myself!

We’ve been to the Lake District this weekend & guess what – it rained ! Anyway looking forward to your next installment because I’m slowly improving after my op & I’ve lots of spare time at the moment

Whoa, I can’t believe you’re in Chicago already!!! Go to Millenium Park and do the roller skate thing! I almost missed seeing the park, I only did because my friend who I met up with who lives their found out I hadn’t been and dragged me along at about 10.00pm on my last night lol! The hostel sounds really good – we were put up in a proper hotel there which totally ate into our budget!

I’m glad you liked the badlands – I was going to say I was surprised you opted for the lodge, but thinking about it, because there was only 5 of you, it makes sense. We took one look (at the small one which I’m guessing you stayed in) and with 13 of us, we decided that tents would probably be more comfortable… plus I was with a group who were very much into ‘camping’ lol. Can’t believe you rode a horse there either… or even just rode a horse full stop! I’m so scared of the things, they are just big and as your little story just proved, have a mind of their own and could kill a person! *shudders* I can’t wait to see your photos! What did you think of yellowstone – I’m really surprised that you didn’t say anything about it!

Hi Katie, Glad that you are having such a good time. It sounds great. Hope you didn’t frighten the frog. Don’t know what ‘Drop Toilets’ are but sounds a bit primitive. Keep the blogs comming but mostly enjoy. Gwen has just told me that I do know what they are, I know them as Asian bogs. Love G&G. xxxx

hi katie!!! i hope the frog didnt touch you! good u are having a good time, i never even know that u were in america. i will be to boston soon in september, beat that!!(mabye you have been there already) the worst thing u can do is come home with an american acsent.

Hi katie – glad to hear you are having a great time. I have heard from other people that San Francisco is worth a visit but don’t know anyone who has been to Yosemite so wil look forward to hearing about it when you get back – hope you have got some good photos! Haven’t been in touch cos no internet where we were in France & no sun either!
Back home now & off for my knee op tomorrow so will catch up in a few days

Enjoying reading your travel-blog … very jealous I’m not doing the same ) We’re starting to get prepared for the new academic year, would you believe! But I could drop it all for the chance of trekking in the wilds of some the US’ most fabulous scenery …
